Once upon a time we had simple rubber plugs on a chain to keep water in the basin. Now you need to press the chrome plug bit in the bottom of the basin.



To clear any blockage the chrome bit can be unscrewed for cleaning.

This will not only cause the extractor to stop working but it will also cause all plugged-in appliances in the kitchen to stop working i.e. all the kitchen power sockets. We've found the kitchen caddy liners sold by Waitrose seem to fit well. These are their 12L size. Gives plenty of room for waste food and then enough to be able to twist and tie up the top of the liner.</description>

We've found that the grooves cut into the worktop surface near the sink
can go a bit green. Looking at advice on how to clean Silestone we have
found that ordinary white malt vinegar (not brown vinegar) poured into the
grooves and left for 10 minutes seems to work. Repeat as required.</description>
