Bin emptying day seems to be Thursday with the food and glass bins being emptied weekly and recycling and general waste alternating.

We've found the kitchen caddy liners sold by Waitrose seem to fit well. These are their 12L size. Gives plenty of room for waste food and then enough to be able to twist and tie up the top of the liner.
